Senate halts increase of data prices

Good news - The Senate just halted the plan to increase data prices

As we all know, NCC ordered all GSM network companies to increase data plan prices which was supposed to commence on first December 2016. But thanks be to God, the senate intervened and stopped the plan. Which means all networks are now allowed to sell at prices they want

While some reporters claim its due to massive cyber protest by Nigerian youths, I don't really know why the Senate chose to back the masses this time by taking this decision but let's hope it's for the best.

Sad news - NCC orders all nigerian GSM network providers to increase data price 

I don't really know why NCC took such decision to increase data bundle price especially now that the country is in reccession. 

  The increment will commence from 1st december 2016. So i advice you should purchase a data bundle now before the start increasing the prices, as the data u buy now will still be valid even after the have increased the price.

Some networks have issued notice concerning the increment.

Whatsapp launches Video Call 

Hello pals, the good news we all have been waiting for is finally here. Whatsapp just introduced Video Call feature, as i stated im one of my posts earlier.

"Today we're bringing video calling to WhatsApp. Voice calling has grown quickly, and video calling has been one of our community's top requests. We've been working on it for a while to make sure it works even in places without a strong network. Enjoy!"

Those were the exact words of Mark Zukerberg on Facebook 15th Nov, 2016.

How to share applications on Whatsapp

Share applications through whatsapp

Hello guys!! I found this interesting so i wish to share it with you guys.
Its no news that whatsapp introduced documents share meaning one can share documents like PDFs and TXTs on whatsapp.
But the interesting part is you can now share applications through this platform with few simple tricks. Which i will share with you right away.

How To Share Applications On Whatsapp:

1. Go to "My Files" or "File Manager" locate the app you want to share and rename it, input ".txt" at the end and save, accept the prompt telling you that file extension will be changed, as shown in the picture below.

[Your app's extension will change to that of a document(PDF), which the receiver has to change back to app extension before he/she can install it.]

2. Go to whatsapp, select the contact you want to share app to, tap the share icon, select documents then select the app u want to share.

Alternatively You can also share through "My Files" or "File Manager".
Just locate the app which u added ".txt" at the end, press and hold it, tap share, select whatsapp and select the contact you want to share it to.

3. After the receivers receives the app, he/she needs to change the file extension back to application's extension before he/she can be able to install it.
To do this, Go to "My Files", go to Whatsapp folder, select Media, select Documents, Select the app that was sent to you, rename it and remove the ".txt" that was at the end of the app's name, make sure the name ends with ".apk" before you save

HOW CAN I CHECK IF MY PHONE SUPPORTS 4G WITH MTK ENGINEERING TOOL? 

1. Download MTK Engineering Mode from Google Play store or HERE
2. Install the app
3. Tap "MTK Settings"
4. Tap "Band Mode"
5. Select your SIM
You will see a list of band mode, from GSM to LTE,
If you cannot tick the band 28 check box
 then it means Glo 4G LTE service won't work on it.
If you cannot tick the band 3 check box
then it means Etisalat 4G LTE service won't work on it.
If you are not able tick band 20 or 7 check box, then you can't use MTN 4G LTE service.
If you use Ntel and you can’t tick band 8 or band 3, then your smartphone has no support for Ntel network

Once you have done this and confirm that your phone supports any of the network 4G LTE bands, simply visit the network office closer to you to request for 4G SIM swap. But if you are using Etisalat, no need for Swapping SIM as Etisalat had already fixed that. You can use your regular SIM card to enjoy the 4G services from Etisalat. Mtn users should also hurry to swap their sim and get 5GB reward.
